There’s a very special energy around a wedding. Catching that feeling in the eyes of celebrating family and friends is an exceptional experience I never get tired of. From the congratulatory smiles and hugs at the engagement party or the look of a proud father seeing his daughter in her wedding gown for the first time. Catching the mischievous look in the eye of the Best man or Bridesmaid as they reveal yet another slightly embarrassing story about the couple, it’s a non stop experience of joy, love and laughter worthy of being remembered forever. I get to experience and and create memories of it all.

It’s Important To Get Those Staged Shots… but it’s always the unplanned moments that catch real feelings and candid expressions of happiness and laughter that tell the real story of the day. I pride myself at being out of sight a lot of the time with a powerful zoom lens, catching those moments as the evening progresses. People are just themselves when they don’t know they’re being photographed so catching children on the dance floor or an uncle telling a bad joke after one too many makes for wonderful memories.

It’s about timing, an eye for a great shot and a bit of luck.
